Q: What exactly is Halloweek?
A: Halloweek is a week-long celebration (Oct 28th to Nov 3rd) of all things GSGW/GDCG. Each day follows themed prompts (TRICK/TREAT), with Halloween (Oct 31st) reserved as a “free-for-all” day. Submissions may take many forms: memes, fics, art, playlists, cosplay, and more, provided they are tagged with the correct prompts and any necessary content warnings.Q: What can I submit?
A: Almost anything goes! Accepted formats include fics, threadfics, art, playlists, cosplay, edits, and meta. Crossovers and OCs are welcome, as long as GSGW/GDCG remains the central focus. If you're uncertain about your submission, feel free to drop us a message at one of our socials.Q: Where do I submit or share my work?
A: You have several options!

A: Yes. Each day offers a paired TRICK/TREAT prompt to guide submissions. The exception is Halloween (Oct 31st), which is a free-for-all day, as long as works still adhere to event guidelines.Q: What is meant by TRICK/TREAT prompt?
A: "Trick-or-treat" is a popular Halloween custom and phrase that we've incorporated into the theme of the fanweek. Each day you have the option to fill a prompt with more light-hearted themes, meant to symbolize the TREAT aspect, or the option to fill a prompt with darker themes, meant to symbolize the TRICK aspect.Q: How about late submissions?
A: Absolutely. We’ll happily accept and promote late submissions during the grace period of Nov 4th to Nov 20th.Q: What about sensitive content?
A: Works that include triggering content, explicit NSFW, or DDDNE themes (death, sexual content, etc.) must be tagged appropriately and, where necessary, shared behind a preview or gated wall (Privatter, Poipiku, etc.) in order to be promoted.Q: Who moderates the AO3 collection?
A: Our event moderators manage the AO3 collection. You can meet them here and here.Q: Can people collaborate on a work?
A: Collaborations are allowed!Q: Can you just do one day? Or do you have to do them all?
A: You are definitely allowed to participate in only one day. Participants can choose to participate in one day, a few, or all; as long as submissions meet the event guidelines, they will all be promoted on the respective social media or AO3 collection.Q: Are video or found footage types possible?
A: As long as you are the owner of your assets, or have the license to use them (e.g. they are free use), and you properly tag your content (CW & TW for any potentially disturbing material), it is allowed.Q: Can we post WIPS, or are the submissions meant to be kept completely secret?
A: Posting WIPS is allowed!Q: It says edits are allowed, but I'm curious about permissions for using fanart considering there isn't much official art.
A: Using official art isn't necessary, but you should have the permission of the fan-artist and credit them.Q: For the trick or treat prompts, do we have to include both? Or can we just choose one?
A: You are allowed to choose one! You can use one or both.Q: Can we combine the same day's Trick and Treat prompts into one work? Like a hurt/comfort fic or something along the lines of the "twisted and fluffy feelings" ao3 tag?
